Hey lovely people 🙂
I am back here, I hope you had a nice school/work week. Mine was a bit stressful.
The last few days in my town were rainy and mostly cloudy. So the question: How to survive rainy days?
Honestly, I really love the rain at night, sounds weird but I fell asleep easier and faster last night. The rain drums peacefully against the roof of my house and I always enjoy the sound of the nature.
But back to the main question. During the day it’s sometimes boring and some people get into a depressing and sad mood. I think there are many things you can do to stop this and convert every single sad feeling into a peaceful one.
Weather – How it influences our psyche and behaviour
- sensitive to weather changes (headache, sleeping disorder, feeling tired or getting easily irritated)
- less productive, demotivated
So I asked myself what I do when my mood is really down and I want to turn it up a bit. I often run myself a bath and put some relaxing bath-bombs or bath salt in the water. I always take a book which I am reading at the moment and relax for like 1 hour or more. And after a stressful week in school it’s quite helpful too.
So I thought about what I especially do when I feel down because of the rain and I asked a lot of friends what they do. They often replied with relaxing at home, watching series and putting face masks on. But I really don’t like the chemical ones from the drug stores. So I looked one up from books which I can really recommend to you!
face mask with strawberry
What you need:
- 4 fresh strawberries of medium size
- 2 teaspoonful of yoghurt (for greasy skin)/cream (for dry skin)
- 3 teaspoonful of honey
How it works:
crush the strawberries with a fork in a little bowle, then add the honey and cream or yoghurt. Mix it with the fork until all ingredients are fully mixed.
Then apply the mask with your fingers or a clean brush on your face (leave the eye area out). After 10 or 15 minutes wash the mask with lukewarm water off. Afterwards continue with your normal body care routine.
And last but not least one easy way to get your happiness back:
Concentrate on the good things in life. There are always ones, you can hold on. Enjoy every single moment. Maybe a nice rain dance, a cozy film evening or baking sweets with your friends or family can be the best mood lifter on these rainy, depressing and boring days!

How do you survive these days?
